Which 11+ test does my area use?
Search the areas we list to see which 11+ test provider we have recorded for them - and, where we hold nothing, a straight answer that we do not know.
Every entry below is currently unverified - it is what we understood at the time of writing, not confirmation from the school or admissions authority - and corrections are welcome.
Type an area or test name, then choose it from the list. We list 15 areas and school groups - not every school in England, and not individual councils.
Every area we list
What this tool can and cannot tell you
It can tell you what our own data says about an area: the test provider we have recorded, anything we hold about the paper structure, and the date we last checked the entry. That is the whole of it.
It cannot tell you which test one particular school sets, whether the format changed this year, or which papers count towards a place. Those are decided by the school or the admissions authority and published on their own pages - which is also where you should confirm anything you read here. We have no feed from any exam board, and BrightEleven is independent of all of them.
For what the differences between the families actually mean, read which 11+ exam board does your school use. If your area uses GL-style tests and you want to see what practice costs, pricing is one page with two numbers on it.
Test dates
We do not publish test or registration dates. The companion page, 11+ exam dates: how to find them, explains where the authoritative dates for your area live and what to look for.
