BrightEleven or Atom Learning: what to check before you choose
A checklist, not a verdict. One column is what BrightEleven does, and every line of it is already stated elsewhere on this site. The other is not an answer: it is the question we would take to Atom Learning's own pages, which are the only place an answer to it is current.
How to read this page
We do not track Atom Learning's prices, features or coverage, and we publish none of them. Anything we wrote down here would be stale within weeks, and a parent who chose on our stale summary would have been misled by us instead of informed by Atom Learning. So we give you the questions and our own answers, and you get theirs from them.

| How questions are checked | Questions come from BrightEleven's own rule-based generators and from authors working to a written brief, and some drafts are AI-assisted. A new question can only be published by a step that refuses to run unless a verifier has independently re-derived that batch's answers and filed a report - the check does not trust the author or the generator, and the record is written against the rows as they go live. Across the bank, automated verifier rules and bias audits run in our build pipeline, and any question a family reports is checked against its source and corrected or removed. Who BrightEleven is for, and who it is not for
It is probably a fit if
- Your child is sitting a GL Assessment-style test, and you want Maths, English, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning in one place.
- You want practice that finds its own level and then quietly re-teaches whatever went wrong.
- You want timed mock papers your child can start themselves, with the mark shown to you and not to them.
- One price covering up to three children suits your family.
- You would rather your child's screens carried no leaderboard, no advert and no chat.
It is the wrong product if
- Your child is sitting the Essex CSSE test, an ISEB Common Pre-Test, an FSCE paper or an independent school's own paper. We have no mode for any of them.
- Your child's test includes a writing paper. We do not set or mark extended writing, so that part will need something else.
- You want a competition leaderboard, or your child is spurred on by being ranked against other children. There is none here, by design.
- You want video or taught lessons. Every question carries a written explanation instead, and there is nothing to watch.
- You want a native iOS or Android app. BrightEleven runs in a browser.
Both lists are statements about BrightEleven. Which product suits you better on any of them is not something we can tell you, and we do not try.
