Free 10-minute 11+ topic quiz
Pick a subject and a topic, answer 10 GL-style questions, and read the explanation after each one. There is no account, no card and no email address - close the tab and nothing of yours is kept.
You have 10 minutes, shown in whole minutes as a guide. Nothing turns red, nothing counts down at you, and if the time runs out the quiz simply finishes and still shows you how you did.

How this quiz works
Each quiz is 10 questions from one topic, and there are 52 topics to choose from across English, maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning. The options are shuffled every time the quiz is served, so the right answer does not sit in the same place twice.
Marking happens on our server, not in your browser: when you choose an option we send only the text you picked, and the reply tells you whether it was right, which option was, and why. That is also why the answers are not hidden somewhere in this page's code - they are never sent to your browser until you have answered.
The questions are a small, fixed set exported once from the same bank the app uses - 520 questions in total, chosen as plain-text questions so they read well on a phone. It is a sample of the same material, not the whole bank, and a quiz you take twice will ask the same 10 questions in a new order.
Nothing about your visit is stored: no account, no cookie set by this page, no record of which topic you chose or how you did. The only thing we count is the page view itself, through the same cookieless counter every page on this site uses.
What ten questions can and cannot tell you
It can show you the kind of question an 11+ paper asks in one topic, at the level our bank pitches it, and whether the explanations make sense to you and your child. That is a genuinely useful ten minutes.
It cannot tell you whether your child is on track. Ten questions in one topic is a snapshot: too short to separate a gap from a bad morning, and it says nothing about the other 51 topics. We will not turn it into a predicted score or a pass likelihood, because a number built on ten questions would not be honest - see 11+ standardised scores, explained for why we show a readiness band inside the app instead.
If you want to know which test your area actually sets before you practise for it, which 11+ test does my area use is the companion lookup, and which exam board explains what the differences mean.
